Art Watch Podcast

Art Watch was created to be a study tool for students and aims to shed light on Latin American and Chicanx art history. These regions are often overlooked in the larger art historical canon but are a vital component to global art history. Art Watch hopes to create an engaging and entertaining teaching tool for professors, students, and lovers of art history.

Today we look at Brazilian modern painter Tarsila do Amaral. Although her work is important to the development of modern art in Latin America, we need to be more critical of her use of the Afro-Brazilian as \"primitive.\"
